The Orchard Inn in West Huntspill is a family-run venture which has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment. Boasting separate bar, games, casual dining and restaurant areas, this large yet intimate pub has everything you could want from a village pub. Whether you are looking for quality real ales, a high quality home-cooked meal, or traditional pub games such as skittles or pool, The Orchard has everything in abundance.

The Crossways is a 17th Century Coaching Inn in the village of West Huntspill. We are a family run business serving delicious fresh home cooked food and a large selection of drinks including 6 real ales, a great choice of lagers, fine wines, and local farmhouse ciders.

During late 2009 the Crossways Inn underwent some major renovation works. The kitchen was completely knocked down & rebuilt, along with the bathrooms and garden. The skittle alley was also revamped and a social area was created at the head of the alley to include a plasma TV and a pool table. However, despite the new state of the art kitchen and other improvements, the bar and dining areas have been left to retain the cosy character of a 17th century tavern. 

There is a large enclosed Beer Garden to the rear with a generous lawn area, a patio furnished with tables for al fresco dining, as well as a heated gazebo. There is also a play area which includes a sunken trampoline to keep the children entertained whilst you relax outside.

During the winter months it’s hard to find a cosier inn. We keep our 2 open fireplaces roaring, serve a range of hot drinks from teas and fresh coffee to hot mulled wine, as well as warming special dishes such as homemade stew with dumplings. Most importantly a warm welcome awaits you from our team.

Balliol Hall - Church Road

The Balliol Hall is located on Church Road, West Huntspill, Somerset, next to St. Peter and All Hallows church.

The Hall is available for hire to members of the public and is a fantastic venue for events and occasions, such as parties, jumble sales, fund raising events, meetings, wedding receptions, etc.

It offers two rooms, the Main Hall and the School Room as well as modern kitchen facilities.

There is parking for approximately 20 cars.
